Castiglione Cosentino is a hill town in the province of Cosenza, in northern Calabria. Romualdo Magnelli — Ro — and Titina Librandi — Ti — were born and raised there, and married there. It is the starting point of everything on this site.
The town sits above the Crati valley, on the lower slopes that rise toward the Sila plateau: olive groves, chestnut woods, wheat, peppers and potatoes.
Why the region matters here.
Casa Magnelli is a family project, but it is not a claim that one family invented a regional cuisine. Some knowledge comes directly through Ro and Ti.
